Hybrid Happy!

I have been on a kick the last week of buying some dollar notebooks and dressing them up with my scrapbooking goodies.  The butterfly journal has twill ribbon, a circular metal paper clip, square tag, lots of butterflies that I colored and glittered and at the bottom I have tape that says summer days on it, and finally I had to add in some bling-bling to the top of my butterfly frame for extra sparkle!

The flower notebook has green ribbon, pink dotted ribbon bow, purple safety pin, square tag, foiled flowers with some felt flowers added to it for height and of course I had to add in some butterflies and rhinestones for sparkle. I love my sparkles! 

My frog notebook has a ton of ribbon and I added in round colorful beads and a felt flower and went crazy with my sparkly markers!!! Love my frog notebook so much!!!

Here I made my own magnet/marker frames.
The first one is for my daughter Elizabeth. I added  beads all over the frames.  Once the glue dried, I colored the beads. I added in a drape of colorful beads across the top. Then added in foam stickers with her name and a heart.  The magnets are handmade as well.  My friends at Hopie Jo did the bottlecaps for choker necklaces. The ballerina magnets where made by me and daughter.  

The second frame is handmade by me for my office. It is a canvas frame (I bought the canvas frame from Walmart). I used watercolors to paint the canvas, once dry, I added ribbon, metal wordart, felt flower magnets. LOL!   

Easter Layout

This is a layout of my niece Chloe Grace. She was born on June 29, 2009. I am amazed how fast she is growing up. Her mommy and her came to visit us one day and she hammed it up for the cameras. She make a ton of cute faces and blew us bubbles. She was also talking alot to us even though we didn't understand baby talk, we still knew she wanted the cameras on her being the young diva she is in all. LOL!  Such a cutie!

Colors That Evoke Emotion

Being creative either by working with my art mediums or on my computer, I have always used colors to convey emotions of my artwork, photos, or scrapbooking works.  Colors help tell your story.  I have kept a diary from over the years and thought I would share my writings with all of you. 


Red: Love, Anger, Power, Excitement, Danger, Action, Intensity, Attitude, Passion, Drama, Heat, Speed, Emphasis, Maturity, Femininity.
Orange: Tropics, Sunny Days, Strength, Safety, Energy, Honor, Gluttony, Opposition

Easter Pictures

The bunny had fun at our home! My mom, brother, and dad came by to say Hi on Easter Sunday.  Elizabeth decided to get my mom to do endless egg hunts and well...you can see from the pics below....LOL!  She got my mom on her trampoline!!!!  I got a ton of great pics of all of us together.  What a great day!

Hoppy Easter!

Well it is spring again here at the Aguiar household! The sun is shining and the birds are chirping! The butterflies are dancing and so am I (not literally, being careful with my back LOL!) I am so happy about this weekend. I am so ready to see my family at Easter.  They both are having lunch events on Sunday, so that will make for interesting trip. :P

My daughter's birthday is coming up on the 12th, but we are having it early next weekend because her birthday is on a week day. BJ and I went ahead and give her one of her gifts early, the Justin Bieber CD and DVD combo pack.  OH MY GOODNESS!!! This about to be 9 year old is shaking her hips and singing like I have NEVER seen her do before! She screams at the top of her lungs that she is in "love" with him.  She says she has "Bieber Fever".   I know BJ are old now because we both scratch our heads and say WHO...that is when I realized that I am now like my mom when she would say the same thing to me about someone I just loved when I was younger.  So FUNNY! She has played these things 24-7 now all weekend outside with her neighborhood friends. I watch them from the window just sit on the trampoline singing for hours. Soooo cute!  I now know who Bieber is from online stuff and I can sing you ANY of his songs from hearing them all weekend! :P

I am so excited for Elizabeth's birthday party. We are having a gymnastic party and I had my friends at Hopie-Jo make custom bottle cap charm necklaces for the goodie bags.  The girls are going to just love them. They are fantastic! Thank you so much Hope and Jo!!!!! You ladies are the best!!!  

We also dyed our eggs earlier today. We had so much fun together. Elizabeth made tie-dyed eggs. They ended up beautiful! I took a bunch of cute pics! I will post later on for you all to see.  Can't wait to read your Easter Weekend blogs! Take care...your friend, Missy
